Glass care
Valley water is high in minerals, which leave white spots and haze on glass. A few habits keep your new enclosure looking like the day it went in.
Ten seconds with a squeegee removes the water before minerals dry onto the glass.
Stick to non-abrasive glass cleaners and soft cloths. Skip scouring pads and powders, which scratch.
Wipe hinges, handles and clamps so spots don't build up on chrome, nickel or black finishes.
A factory-applied coating helps glass shed water and resist spotting. Use only cleaners approved for coated glass.
Run the exhaust fan or crack the door so moisture clears and glass dries faster.
Look over the vinyl sweeps and seals now and then. Worn ones let water escape onto the floor.
FAQ
Frameless shower doors typically run about $800 to $2,500, depending on size, glass thickness and hardware. Fully custom enclosures typically run about $1,000 to $3,500 or more. Every estimate is free.
Most installations take 2 to 4 hours. Many replacements can be done the same day or within 24 hours.
Yes. Frameless glass has fewer metal tracks and seams where hard-water buildup collects, and an optional protective coating helps the glass resist spotting.
Sliding doors save space and work well on tubs and narrow bathrooms. Hinged frameless doors give the most open look when there's room for the door to swing. We'll recommend the best fit at your estimate.
3/8" glass is the most common choice for frameless doors and fits most budgets. 1/2" glass feels heavier and more substantial and suits larger panels and luxury bathrooms. We'll recommend the right thickness for your opening at your estimate.
Frameless enclosures use thick glass and minimal hardware with no metal frame. Semi-frameless enclosures pair a frameless-look door with slim metal channels around the edges, which lowers the cost.
